Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster vs Sleeper BMW 323i E21

We’ve all heard it before, somebody will be comparing specs on paper, followed by some form of the adage “There’s a reason we don’t run races on paper.”

The video below is a perfect example of why that adage is correct and very much accurate. If you were to park these 2 cars side by side, very few, if any, onlookers would choose the unassuming little Bimmer to be the faster of the two. I mean even the most uninterested observer could look at it beside the svelte, sleek Aventador LP700-4 and know that the Lambo should trounce all over the BMW 323i.

But then, they race anyway. And, as you might have guessed by this build up, the Bimmer does the unthinkable, not just hanging with the Aventador, but literally driving around it with ease and pulling ahead by a couple of car lengths.

The run starts exactly as one would expect, with the Lambo walking out to a big lead as soon as both drivers drop the hammer. From the first perspective inside the Aventador, it’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on with the BMW dropping out of sight, then charging back ahead quite unexpectedly. However, when the view changes to the BMW’s angle, we find out that the car was actually spinning for a while, but once the driver got the car hooked up, it was game over for the Lambo.

We have no idea what’s going on under the hood of this little 323i, but it sounds purely insane and obviously cranks out a ton of horsepower. The turbocharger sounds massive, and has to be huge to push this car to these speeds against a car as fast as the LP700-4.

After the race, we get a slow roll past a row of revving cars, each of which is badass on some level. Check them all out and let us know what you think of this Bimmer beating up on this supercar!
