Lizzy Musi In Aftershock Wins Outlaw Big Tire Race At The Texas Motorplex

While she has had her share of mishaps, as most professional drivers have, Lizzy Musi is a proven veteran behind wheel and has won races in several different cars. Now she can add a late model Camaro to that list, as well as winning her first No Prep event thanks to her strong showing at this weekend’s No Prep Kings race in Texas.

The second race of the season in Lone Star State proved to be the perfect place for Lizzy to show the world she can get it done on an unprepped surface just like the can in her Pro Nitrous car in the PDRA. Wheeling her boyfriend Kye Kelley’s Aftershock Camaro, Lizzy laid down a handful of killer passes, keeping the car in the center of the groove and thanks to a massive Pat Musi – yes, that would be her father – powerplant, she has more than enough horsepower to outrun some of the strongest cars in the No Prep Kings lineup.

After an easy round, 1 win over Jackie Knox in the Sonoma, Lizzy would square off with the Skull Crusher ‘Vette. This battle of nitrous-injected hotrods would prove to be the closest matchup of the day for Musi, and as you’ll see, she still put a pretty good sized gap on Skull Crusher by the time they hit the finish line.

From there, Lizzy would take on Jared Winger in his wicked ProCharged Camaro in a race that should have been very close. However, traction issues for Winger ended the race just off the starting line, giving him the best seat in the house to watch as she streaked to another round win.

In the final round, another race that could have easily been a great side-by-side race was decided early, this time before the tree even came down. Robin Roberts rolled the starting beams in his gorgeous twin turbo Firebird, disqualifying himself and handing Lizzy the win automatically. Roberts’ car had been running really well and would have been a great race for Aftershock, so hopefully, they’ll meet up again and get to race heads up to see who has the faster car.
