LMR Camaro Catching on Fire at Lights Out 8, Fire System Saves Driver

When teams and drivers are pushing their machines to the limit in the dog eat dog world of drag racing, sometimes, the envelope can simply be pushed a little bit too far and at that point, something has got to give and this time, that unfolded in front of us and things got hot!

As the LMR Chevrolet Camaro hit the lanes at Lights Out 8, an event that you definitely want to bring your best for, one thing led to another and after yanking the front wheels up, the car would combust, swallowing up the front end of the machine in flames with the driver still inside.

Luckily, a man with a fire extinguisher was on the scene as the well-prepared team hopped to it and put the fire out without too much damage being done, but a situation like this is always disheartening as some damage was most certainly done in the process.

This definitely isn’t something that you would wish on any racer; hopefully, they’re able to get the machine back together and out there racing again soon!
