LS3 Robotic Pack Mule Field Testing by US Military
When it comes to military applications, advanced robotics can help in a plethora of ways from providing safety, removing humans from dangerous situations to providing utility.
This time, we check out an incredible machine that’s designed to do the latter. The Legged Squad Support System (LS3) is a robot designed to follow you in the field and become a workhorse of sorts.
From a bit of research, we discovered that this machine from Boston Dynamics, led in this case by Lance Cpl. Dieckmann can carry up to 400lbs of equipment in the field.
Check out the future coming to life in the video below as the technology shows off its ability to negotiate the terrain as well. This could definitely mean way more to those in the field than we could ever imagine.
