Magical Welding Trick Using No Hands, Genius or Dangerous?

Have you ever tried welding with no hands? Turns out, it can be done!

We aren’t really sure if this is amazing or absurd, but we do know it looks cool on video and it seemed to amuse the kids in this welding class. While none of us here at Speed Society are professional welders, we do understand the basic physics at play, so we get how this works.

However, we are fairly certain that this is more a parlor trick than an effective welding technique.

But, it’s a cool trick, regardless! Laying a bead without so much as laying a hand on the welding table is pretty awesome, and we kind of want to give it a try now!
