Malibu does massive wheelie on the street
One of the most important components of making your car competitive on race day at the drag strip is gaining enough traction to get out of the hole faster than the guy in the other lane.
On the strip, where the surface is prepared and tailored especially to make cars hook up, many still struggle to find the traction that they need.
On the street, where the surface doesn’t always guarantee to be friendly to the car, many of the same problems exist with traction except they tend to be amplified tenfold.
This time, we drop in on a car and driver combination that seems to have absolutely no trouble at all when it comes to finding the sticky as the Chevrolet Malibu comes out of the hole hard, lifting the front end of the car up multiple times while dragging the bumper and showing that it doesn’t always take a professionally prepared track to make the sticky work.
