Man Uses a Wooden Piston in his Briggs Engine

When you bring together people with a tool like the world wide web, you bring together the opportunity to experience different walks of life that dabble in all kinds of obscure experiments that most definitely are worth at least taking a look at!

This time, we’re looking at none other than a small lawnmower engine, but what exactly is it that’s interesting about an engine like this? Well, instead of using a traditional piston crown, this time, someone tinkering with their engine decides to see how long a wooden crown will hold up to the test of combustion.

Check out the video below as the engine fires up and runs for over two minutes at 3300 rpm before calling it quits and rejecting the wooden head. At the end of the day, this experiment looks to be worth it just for the simple fact of seeing if it could be done.
