Mark Micke’s Record Setting Malibu Puts Down 4,600+ Horsepower

In the world of performance, there are all kinds of different builds for different applications. Sure, some ride around with tame setups, leaning toward the mild side. On the other hand, there are some who decide to kick it up a notch. These folks have quick machines with a little bit of bite behind them. Beyond that, even, there are others who go to a completely new level. These gearheads end up blowing the cap off of the whole operation with an engine and boost setup that could spin the Earth off of its axis!

This time, we hit the dyno room to check out an application that most certainly falls into that third category. This twin turbo monster of a Chevrolet Malibu, as strapped up with a pair of turbos, really makes its presence felt. This thing ends up practically sucking all of the air out of the room. It’s nothing short of impressive it roars its way up to over 4600 hp. This is done while forcing some major boost through that engine!

Even by today’s incredibly high standards, a setup like this will turn heads just about everywhere that it goes. When it comes time to really get down to business, this ‘Boo will back up all that bark as well with plenty of bite to match, as long as the car is ready to lay all that impact to the ground efficiently. As evidenced by its track record, we don’t think that it will have any trouble doing that, either.

In fact, Micke’s Malibu already has been throwing punishing blows. It has been seen capturing the Radial vs the World MPH record in the past. We’re sure that with the new combo, the car will continue to push the limits!

There’s really nothing like the sound of massive amounts of power pouring out with a little bit of boost to push it along. That turbo whistle is nothing short of spine-chilling to listen to on the FuelTech dyno!

Check out the video demonstration from the dyno room below to really show you what this thing has got as it cranks up the heat a little bit to get to quite a desirable amount of power to the rollers.
