Meet The New Ford Mustang 2023?!

The Ford Mustang GT is a subject of affection for many tuners and custom shops. Among them, Kenny Pfitzer Design  / Kenny Pfitzer seems to have made one of the most controversial, yet aesthetically pleasing versions of the car. The design for the S550 Mustang was actually introduced back at the SEMA Show. The idea is to bridge the gap between the Ford Mustang and Ford GT, both in terms of looks and performance.

When it comes to custom times, aging well is even more difficult, but the Ford Mustang GTT by Kenny Pfitzer Design still looks fresh, even years later. The California-based tuner has done extensive work on the body of the car, with the only stock part left being the roof. The front end features an extended hood, giving the car a more aggressive look, but most notably, there’s a Ford GT front splitter added, which includes the big center grill, framed in carbon fiber.

The new wide-body kit gives the side profile Ferrari vibes, courtesy of additional air extractors on the front fenders and large air intakes on the rear fenders. The wheels are 22-inch HRE P204, wrapped in Continental tires. The rear is, arguably, the most interesting to look at as it features quad taillights, instantly reminiscing of Ferrari’s front-engine V-12 flagships, more notably the GTC4Lusso, minus the shooting brake body.

In the middle of the trunk lid, there’s a bulge, mimicking the one on the Ford GT where you would normally find its dual-exhaust tips. In the Mustang, it serves as a pedestal for the GTT logo, which stands for Gran Touring Tribute. The integrated ducktail spoiler overlaps the sides and, at the bottom, there’s an aggressive diffuser with center-mounted, dual-exhaust tips.

In terms of the interior, Kenny Pfitzer Design has taken the stock interior and given it a generous Alcantara treatment, which includes the dashboard, seats, steering wheel, door panels, and headliner. Otherwise, it’s mostly the same Mustang S550 interior. Power still comes from the 5.0-liter Coyote V-8, but thanks to a Magnaflow exhaust and a Pro Charger supercharger, it now packs 800 horsepower and more than 700 pound-feet (950 Nm) of torque. Power goes to the rear through a Getrag MT-82, six-speed manual.

Comparing Kenny Pfitzer Design work on the S550 Mustang GT is the equivalent of what we think the Mustang would have looked like if Ford commissioned some of the greatest Italian coachbuilders to style it. What makes the Mustang GTT even more special is that the California-based tuner has planned to build only 250 examples of the Mustang GTT, with each costing between $120,000 and $150,000, depending on options, and yes, that includes the Mustang GT donor car. It’s also a lot less expensive than a Ford GT, which starts at $500,000.
