Meet The Tag Heuer Aston Martin, That Comes With The Watch That Inspired It
Performance meets sophistication when companies with rich histories combine their talents to create something truly glorious.
I’m not even sure what all of that means, but it sounds like something you’d hear in a commercial for this car. Personally, I’m not that big into luxury and sophistication, but I can’t deny this is one gorgeous car, and the Tag Heuer watch that inspired it’s creation is equally stunning. Both of them would be right at home here at Speed Society, though, thanks to the red and black color scheme and undeniable appeal of both.
The watch that inspired the car is the Tag Heuer Cerrera Calibre Heuer01, an automatic chronograph wearing the Aston Martin logo on the face and name around the outside of the dial. The Tag is a pricey wrist decoration at $6,500 but that pales in comparison to the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Tag Heuer Edition that it inspired.
The wickedly black Aston’s pricing hasn’t been announced, but it is expected to land somewhere around the $300,000 mark. Powered by the same twin turbo V12 that powers the standard DBS Superleggera, the Tag Heuer edition features a gorgeous Monaco Black paint job that just oozes power and sex appeal. The red accented brake calipers pop from behind the wheels, while red rings around the sidewall of the tire add to the ensemble. Inside, inky black is broken up by red stitching and Tag Heuer logos sewn into the seat backs.
There are few cars that can pull off the elegance of an Aston with the menacing prowess this edition offers, combining both sheer sophistication with the 735 horsepower under the hood to meld both worlds together in one gorgeous car.
There will only be 50 of these built, and each will include the watch that inspired the car itself. If you want one, you better step up quickly or they will all be snapped up.
