Milllion Mile Ford Super-Duty Still Racking Up Miles
If there’s one thing that absolutely everyone is looking for in a vehicle, it’s longevity. Some might have different priorities than others when it comes to buying a vehicle. However, just about everybody who purchases a car or truck is going to want it to last a long time.
When you purchase a vehicle, there is a reasonable amount of mileage that we would expect it to last. I don’t think that most would be disappointed if their car conked out before 1,000,000 miles. However, every once in awhile, we come across a vehicle that rolls over the seven-figure mile mark.
In this case, we take the opportunity to check out a Ford F-350 dually diesel that is a part of the million-mile club. Not only does this truck just keep churning but it has managed to soar right past the million-mile mark. Today, the truck from the 2000 model year has amassed a whopping 1,368,000 miles. That’s more miles than some have even driven in a lifetime with all of their rides combined! If the rule of thumb says that 12,000 miles per year is the average, this truck has accumulated 114 years of driving!
To top it all off, this isn’t just any truck. It acts as a workhorse used for hauling loads from time to time. At the end of the day, all of those miles haven’t necessarily been easy. This makes the accomplishment even more impressive. We would venture to say that this truck driver definitely got his money’s worth out of this rig that is now two decades old.
By following along with the video below from Pickup Truck Plus SUV Talk, we get the inside scoop on the impressive machine. There is definitely a couple of stories behind this one. After all, with so much seat time in one machine, this truck owner has become incredibly familiar with the ins and outs of this particular generation of pickup.
