Murder Nova Takes His LS/ProCharged 55 Chevy on its Maiden Voyage!

Those who follow Murder Nova on Street Outlaws most likely know him for one car in particular. Granted that his nickname has followed the car, it’s not any secret that his Chevrolet Nova aka “Murder Nova” seen on screen is the vehicle that we all associate with Shawn Ellington. However, just like any other car enthusiast, Shawn has a taste for some other rides as well.

Among these machines, we find a ’55 Chevrolet. However, this ’55 hasn’t necessarily been given the love that it so desires. Instead, Shawn will probably admit that it might’ve been a little bit neglected over the years as it has sat in the corner of his shop. At the end of the day, it seems like pretty much everybody who is competitive on the show has a crazy schedule so it’s no surprise that some of these side projects remain undone.

Recently, though, Murder Nova decided to crack into this old school Chevrolet to bring it new life once again. In order to get things cooking, an LS engine and ProCharger combination would find its way under the hood.

The cool thing about all of this is that Murder Nova has been posting all of his journey to YouTube to share it with us all. This ranges from putting together the pieces and figuring out what the build is going to consist of all the way to those moments of truth that we’re all familiar with. Anyone who has ever built a car or modified it knows that turning the key over for the first time and going for the first drive can be some very stressful times. As it turns out, even the most experienced builders among us share those feelings.
