Royal Navy Tests Ironman-Like Jet Suit
There are a ton of areas that advance with technology that we might not initially think of. Sure, we think about medicine and maybe the devices in our pockets. It’s not too often that we think of warfare, though, when someone brings up “technological advancements.”
However, as it turns out, this area is one with some of the most interesting technology to come across. This time, we get the chance to dive into a suit being tried on for size by the Royal Navy. In this particular demonstration, we get the chance to check out something that reminds us of Iron Man. Before we know it, perhaps human beings will be up in the air, engaging in hand-to-hand combat with one another. On another hand, maybe this kind of tech will be used for nothing more than a little bit of short-distance travel.
We’ve met with Richard Browning before and his suit that takes human beings and propels them through the air. However, we can’t say that we’ve ever seen it in an application like this. Watching the suit lift Browning off of one boat deck and to another is nothing short of magical. He looks almost like a real-life superhero as he makes his way back down to the solid ground once again.
By following along in the video below, we see the suit in action as it makes magic happen over the water. Up until we saw this thing come to life, we have to admit that we’ve thought that it would always be a part of science fiction. As it turns out, the suit might become reality sooner than we had originally anticipated.
What do you think of this insane suit? Do you think it’ll ever be produced for general consumption? Try to picture traveling to work in this bad boy!
