When most people see a front wheel drive Volkswagen Golf, they might think of something that their grandmother uses to get the church or maybe their sister uses to go and buy her groceries with. However, when this person saw a Golf, they had a different vision in mind.
Instead of just your average car to get around town or go grab some groceries with, this V-Dub has been completely overhauled to become the drag racing machine of your dreams, surpassing lots of impressive competition to become the best of its kind.
After being completely stripped down and built back up to drag racing spec, this rowdy little VW managed to rocket its way to an 8.457-second pass at an astonishing 165 mph in the quarter mile, making it’s the fastest European front wheel drive car period.
