Even though, sometimes, it might seem like folks can just invest unlimited money into a racing machine and make it rocket to speeds and elapsed times that almost seem unreasonable, there are still certain limitations with some platforms where the records simply can’t be bought.
For example, if have a leaf spring setup underneath of a car, throwing more money at it isn’t guaranteed to make you go any faster. You have to have an astute knowledge for what’s going on it’s underneath of the car in order to compensate for the technology that’s in place.
