New Verdict for Mom Who Drove Van Full of Kids into The Ocean

One of the hardest parts about becoming a hero is that most times, you’re going to have to think quickly on your feet and act in an incredibly selfless way. Most people think that they would have what it would take to be a hero if the situation called for it, however, it’s truly impossible to know how exactly you would act in a situation until you’re actually placed in the adrenaline pumping moment where you need to either drop what you’re doing and hop to action or standby and watch something unfold in front of you.

Luckily, in this situation that seemed to be a combination of other events that had finally built up enough pressure to burst, a couple of bystanders did act as heroes when a mother with a minivan full of children drove down the beach and eventually started to veer into the Atlantic Ocean. As more time would pass, waves would begin to crash over the hood of the van and the mother of the children and driver, Ebony Wilkerson, would continue to push onward, attempting to do the unthinkable as several kids, the youngest of which being only three years old, were inside of the van.

The mother behind the wheel apparently had been suffering from mental health concerns and, after attempts for help were initiated, she later checked herself out of the hospital prior to the incident. In just April of this year, Ebony Wilkerson, 32, was ordered to a psychiatric hospital after violating her conditional release by admittedly stopping taking her medicine.

At this time, we hope that this family is receiving the help that it needs to become whole again and can’t possibly put into words how instrumental both of the rescuers, Tim Tessenneer and Stacy Robinson were in becoming real-life superheroes and giving these children a chance at life.
