Off Grid Winch: Making a Flip Flop Winch

Even if you aren’t among the minority that is living off of the grid, checking out these little tips and tricks that use basic materials to carry out some amazing things are pretty cool to watch. This time, we check out something that could really get you out of a bind if you are on your own and find your vehicle to be nice and stuck.

By creating what is known as a flip-flop winch, you can use nothing more than a couple of lengths of wood along with some rope to create your very own DIY winch to get yourself out of a pickle.

This guy seems to have it all figured out and he lays out the steps one at a time so that we can start to absorb the information that might just be helpful if you find yourself to be stuck. Even if the odds are low that you will ever need the tip, it’s still helpful to know just incase!
