The Owner of the “Corvette Shop” Drives a 2020 C8 Corvette For the 1st Time

Having dealt with Corvettes for years, Larry Hoffer has seen them all. With every generation that comes out, Hoffer tells us that the product gets even better. This might seem like a given. However, over the years, we have seen so many different models flop that it’s hard to count. However, the Corvette keeps trucking along, putting a sizable gap between the new generation and the last one.

The question this time is if the C8 Corvette could possibly one-up the C7. With a massive redesign, the car will have to prove itself all over again.

The scene looked like a couple of kids in a candy shop. In this one, we ride along as Speed Society’s ” Mike “The Wrench” joins Hoffer in a C8. In our latest giveaway, fans have the choice to spec out a C8 Corvette that will soon be given away. The first choice was between a white car and the black one that ended up winning the vote.

This time, the ride up for review is the white C8 Corvette Z51 3LT that lost to the black car. While we don’t want to put too many miles on the giveaway car, the other machine will do just fine!

In this one, we get the opportunity to get the Corvette pro’s initial reaction and it was all smiles. It really seems like he has nothing but good things to say about the latest variation of Corvette. Hoffer even makes a comment that it simply feels like a Corvette, even though the Vette has been changed to a mid-engined car. That was certainly one worry that lots of Corvette enthusiasts had worried about – that this model would completely lose the essence of what the car is all about.

By following along with the video below, we get to watch the initial observation. Even beyond our own analysis of the car, we find ourselves hard-pressed to find folks who have something bad to say about the latest offering from Chevrolet. It will be very interesting to see how public opinion about the car holds up over the long-term. For now, though, things are looking great for the C8.
