Paul Walker Confirmed to Return as Brian O’Conner in Fast & Furious 9
Well, the calendar hasn’t even turned yet and 2020 has already gotten weird.
We’re not sure where to start with this one. At this point, we all know that the Fast and Furious saga is one that has taken an obscure route to success. It all started with a movie based on street racing and low rent crime that has escalated to an international espionage tale.
In any case, the franchise has become the host to the biggest names in Hollywood. Let’s just say that some of them fit the theme more naturally than others. Just when we thought that it couldn’t get any more obscure, they decided to inject Cardi B into the mix. It almost seems like an April Fool’s Day gag but it’s very real.
Multiple sources are now reporting that Paul Walker will return once again to the franchise. This news comes out alongside a Vin Diesel Instagram video teasing their return “back home” to a place that “diehards will know where [they’re] at.”

Naturally, this makes us think that the next installation of the movie is somehow going to pay homage to the original. From what we’ve gathered, Walker will reprise his role as Brian O’Conner once again. We would be left to believe that it’s probably going to use the same CGI that was used to insert the late Walker into Furious 7.
We’re not quite sure what to take from the use of Paul Walker’s likeness, though. That’s going to be an idea that will have to be sorted out in comment sections around the web. In all likelihood, an educated guess would probably have Walker playing a limited role in the movie.
As of now, the details are incredibly limited. Only time will tell how this all plays out. Keep it locked to Speed Society for live updates.
