Porsche Just Set a New Record Around The Nürburgring With a Trailer!
When it comes to the machines ago around the Nürburgring, the scope is far and wide, spanning all sorts of different vehicles and combinations that really push the limits in the good spirit of taking home a record pass around the ring. It’s certainly something that comes with bragging rights and this time, we check out a Porsche as it heads out to the track to attempt to take home yet another record as the driver becomes familiar with on the surface in a new way. This isn’t quite the record that you’re probably thinking of. It’s not the Porsche 911 GT3 RS blazing through the corners or reeling in times as it hits that long straight away, but instead something a bit more obscure.
I can’t say that I would’ve thought that there would be a record for rounding the track with a trailer but lo an behold, there is! This time, we watch as Porsche takes home yet another record, making their mark as their creation carefully rounds the corners, hauling a tractor around the entire surface and making their way from start to finish with a time of 12 minutes and 6 seconds as the Porsche Panamera Sport awkwardly makes its way across the finish line. This might be more than double that of the times that we see with other record cars, but we can’t help but be impressed at the offbeat record.
Check out the video down below that takes you along for the ride as this Porsche tries to be as nimble as possible while set up to be purposely clunky. This is definitely an interesting challenge for the driver who’s forced to balance the weight perfectly while also trying to be as fast as they can with the added cargo. If you follow along in the video below, you’ll be able to see exactly how the vehicle goes right to the tipping point, pushing the limits at every turn.
