Railroad Thermite Welding Up Close and Personal
When it comes to putting together the railroads, obviously the tracks need to have the highest level of integrity to support the thousands of pounds that will travel over them.
This time, we check out the process that’s used to hold the tracks together under such extreme stress, otherwise known as “thermite welding.”
In just a couple of steps, the guys working on the rails mend the two rails together and grind them down to become one for the smoothest travel possible.
Check out the video below to watch the process from start to finish to see the labor involved in making the railroads come together. You might just learn a thing or two!
THE POWER OF FRICTION IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!
