Will the Ram Rebel TRX Dethrone the SVT Raptor as the King of the Desert?

Since it debuted in 2010, Ford’s F-150 Raptor has been in a class all its own. Sure, there have been other off-road oriented trucks. It’s arguable that the Raptor has been the most enthusiast-grade full-size machine, though. Designed to be able to tackle the elements, the truck has experienced quite the success as it has gone through some major developments over the years.

In the coming years, though, we will be able to see if the Raptor can hold its own with a little bit more competition. With the release of the Ram Rebel, we’ve seen a contender throw its hat in the ring. In fact, later this year, we will see the Ram Rebel TRX bring even more performance to the all-terrain platform. This model will really put the Raptor to the test to see who the boss is.

If there’s somebody who we definitely trust for their truck knowledge, it’s the crew over at TFL Truck. In fact, they go through the extent of logging extensive information on the models before they even hit the streets. Sometimes, this means chasing down test mules. Other times, perhaps it’s fishing around in the rumor mill to see what they can come up with.

While the information base about what we can expect from each truck isn’t quite complete, the picture is becoming pretty clear. In this one, we watch as the ultimate comparison is undergone. Is there any chance that Ram will be able to step up to the plate and go to war with Ford? It’s certainly going to be an interesting battle when it all comes to light.
