Real-World Ghost Ship Sails The World’s Seas Unmanned For 38 Years

When you’re talking about any kind of world that is beyond the physical one that we know, because nobody really knows what exactly happens beyond life, stories are made up and sometimes, they might just get a little bit scary, playing on somebody’s emotions to draw them in and keep their attention. Because of this phenomenon, you might have heard a ghost story or two in your day with some even revolving around entire ghost ships. The sea just really seems like a place where a story like this would be a perfect fit due to the vastly unknown nature of what’s really out there.

This time, however, we follow along with the story that has been dubbed as one that goes along in that ghost ship category, however, the spirit world doesn’t really play into it very much. Instead, what we hear about is something that could be pretty realistic and also pretty mind-blowing all at the same time. You see, as the story goes, the SS Baychimo, a 1,322-ton cargo ship launched in 1914 would carry its crew into some pretty intense conditions, conditions that would force the ship to be wedged in some bad weather where it would be unable to move, essentially being frozen in place.

From there, the crew would abandon ship and find themselves living at the local town for a little bit. In between these intense fits of weather, they would eventually find that the ship wasn’t fit for operation any longer, or so they thought as they would board it and remove their possessions before leaving it to the sea to do away with the remains.

However, as the story goes, which you can get the full details of in the video below, the ship would be spotted by various sources, unmanned for the next 38 years, as it would float around in the abyss and continue its journey for nearly four documented decades. After following along with this one for yourself, be sure to tell us if you think that this is a true story or simply another tall tale of the sea. The ship could be still floating around out there to this day!
