We’ll set the scene. You’re working on your latest turbo diesel project and all seems to be going well when all of a sudden the engine starts revving out of control!

That’s exactly what happened to this guy with his DD 453-T. According to the video description, the rack got stuck on valve cover and some quick thinking saved the engine, almost at the cost of a set of fingers.

Check out the video below as this mechanic makes a few quick moves on his feet and salvages everything except for the turbo’s compressor wheel. That was a close call!
