GMC Pickup Accelerates Out of Control with Doors Locked, Bursts Into Flames!

Sometimes, well, you just get caught up in a bad situation and for the owner of this truck, that was exactly what happened as he would end up locked out with the truck accelerating out of control. According to the woman filming the entire ordeal, the truck’s electronic locks like to play by their own rules and apparently, after turning it on and getting the throttle stuck under the floor mat somehow, the doors would do their own thing, locking everybody out of the truck with no way of shutting it down without doing some damage to the vehicle.

With the truck rapidly accelerating at full throttle and no other option in sight, folks nearby would begin to attempt to smash the window and shut the truck off as it just so happened to be locked for some reason. After a couple of attempts, having a little bit of luck would eventually get them inside to shut the truck off but, before they were able to get to it, the machine would erupt in flames. Eventually, they would get to shut the truck down but at this point, it looks like most of the damage had already been done as the fire was roaring away under the hood.

The video below shows the entirety of the situation coming to life and people trying to act as fast as they possibly could in one of these close call scenarios as to extinguish the blaze. We’re sure that the truck ended up sustaining a pretty good amount of damage but we think that the people on the scene here did a pretty satisfactory job of keeping as much of the truck intact as possible given how short of a period of time that they had to react. You never know how you’re going to react in a situation like this one when it’s all on the line!
