Ryan Martin Upgrades His CTS-V Daily For When he’s Not Wheeling Fireball

On-screen, obviously, some of our favorite Street Outlaws have insanely fast cars to drool over. These machines are built for speed and show off everything that they’ve got when the cameras are rolling. However, when the cameras are long gone, some Street Outlaws prefer to keep that power under their foot. At the end of the day, these competitors are car fans behind the scenes as well which means that their daily drivers can tend to be pretty awesome.

Right now, on top of the list in the 405, we find none other than Ryan Martin a.k.a. Fireball. Naturally, most fans know him for his Chevrolet Camaro that is one of the most dominant cars on the streets right now. You wouldn’t be talking about the most competitive in the country if you weren’t considering Martin.

Behind the scenes, though, his daily driver is also rather potent as well. In order to get the job done, Martin drives a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V on a regular basis. The supercharged application under the hood is enough to give just about anybody a thrill on their commute to work. However, Martin has decided that he wanted this Cadillac to be just a little bit more potent than what it came with from the factory.

In order to accomplish this quest for more power, Martin would turn to a built motor with ported heads. The factory supercharger would also be replaced by a 2.9 L Whipple unit. However, Martin does say that the intercooler has been leaking and he decided he wanted to upgrade. Therefore, in this one, we get to watch as the supercharger is swapped out for a TVS2650 unit from Edelbrock. Martin tells us that this is basically the cream of the crop when it comes to LT superchargers. When all is said and done, the unit should be good for 1200 hp or more to the tires!
