Seahawks RB Fred Jackson Street Races and Wrecks! 

Seattle Seahawks’ running backs Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson decided to have a little bit of fun leaving practice earlier today. Drag racing down a straightaway on Seahawks Way, things took a not so fun turn.

Fred Jackson took on Marshawn Lynch with his new C7 Corvette Z06. Reports say that Marshawn Lynch was in a “red Dodge Charger.” From the one picture I found, Lynch’s Charger is red with a black wheels, but the picture is low quality. Let’s just assume it was a Hellcat and yet again a Corvette couldn’t keep up with a Hellcat. In all reality, it appears to be the first generation Charger in either R/T or SRT8 form.

Jackson lost control during this race and swerved into a stop sign that abruptly, and ironically, stopped his 650 horsepower monster in its tracks. Lynch drove away without any trouble and other players and Seahawks staff rushed out to bring Jackson into the team facility.

It sounds like the Seahawks’ only problems aren’t just on the field this year. Fred Jackson is reported to be unhurt, but the poor Z06 is done for; not to mention the stop sign pictured below. There is also a quick video of the scene when they were cleaning it up.

UPDATE: Renton police report that Lynch and Jackson were not racing. Lynch was the first to arrive at the scene after the crash. Jackson reportedly was accelerating too fast into the turn and spun out into the stop sign. We will try to keep you updated as more facts come to light.
