SEMI Truck in High Winds Blows Over and Crushes Patrol Car

Talk about having a camera in the right place at the right time.

This tandem of Wyoming Highway Patrol cars is sitting alongside the highway as high winds whip across the roadway. As an eighteen wheeler approaches – note that he was driving very slowly and carefully – the winds gust even higher and topple the big rig over. Adding to the terrifying situation, the trailer lands directly on top of one of the patrol cars, though luckily nobody was injured during the mishap. It’s not clear if the patrolman was in his car or not, as they may have been working an accident or issuing a citation, but reports indicate no injuries regardless.

It’s fortunate for the big truck’s driver that this video exists, as this would make for the most implausible explanation if he had to call in and explain this to his dispatch. Would you buy it if a driver called in and said his truck just so happened to blow over right on top of a police car, and that he really was driving very carefully at the time?
