Single Digit Stick Shift C5 Z06 | 9.3 @158mph DRIVER MOD |
When we begin to crack into exactly what the right formula is for drag racing, there’s going to probably be a big argument about whether you should drive an automatic or manual and people will find all kinds of facts that they think they know about this, that, and the other.
Regardless of who wins that debate and if it automatic transmissions are truly faster than a manual in a straight line situation, it’s really hard to deny that some of these manually shifted cars that are achieving great numbers are incredibly awesome to watch because there’s just something that’s really special about a low-nine-second car with a driver who is hounding his or her way through the gears all the way down the racing surface.
This time, we tune into a TalonTSi97 video that showcases a YSi supercharged Chevrolet Corvette with 347 cubic inches of forged LS6 power that’s surging forward down the drag strip, making its presence felt was as driver absolutely rows through the gears on his way to some top notch passes.
When the car comes together to paint the final picture, we eventually see this thing hanging some some consistent passes on the board with speeds that are nearly reaching out and touching 160 mph. Being inside of the thing has to be one insanely wild ride, that’s for sure.
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll catch the action for yourself, watching as this driver puts the driver mod in place, sending the Chevy down the lanes to some awesome passes! After seeing a display like this one, it almost makes you want to head out there and throw some gears for yourself. There’s just something so satisfying about this car that makes you not want to take your eyes off of it as the wild machine showcases some massive power when foot hits throttle.
