Sloppy Mechanics Stirring the Pot Again, Cut Open a Brand New Turbo!
If you’ve been following along with the turbocharged pickup truck build that has been going down over on the BigKleib34 YouTube channel that’s currently attempting to turn your run-of-the-mill Chevrolet Silverado work truck into something bad that will be able to turn heads and move out in a hurry, you know that this one is all about taking a budget and trying to stretch it out as far as possible. Sometimes, that might mean getting a little bit creative with certain things or maybe trying out methods that might just not be widely popular. Therefore, I think it is safe to say that they’ve managed to start a little bit controversy that ends up stirring the pot here and there.
This time, a little bit more of the same kind of controversy comes into question as a part at the heart of the build is modified when the turbocharger is brought into question to try out something that not to many people are doing. As much of the build has gone, this particular instance is pulling another page out of the Sloppy Mechanics handbook that recommends all kinds of different unconventional methods that you can take to getting to your goals.
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll watch as the turbo was pulled apart, cut up a bit, and put together once again to try to get to a very specific goal with the method that you won’t see under the hood of too many vehicles out there. Whether or not it will work in this particular application is yet to be seen but watching the method behind the madness unfold is definitely an interesting scene. After pressing play on the video below, be sure to tell us what you think of this obscure way of tossing some boost into the equation.
