Smart Ship Docking System is Genius!

When it comes to docking a boat, It might look like an easy task but from experience, I can tell you that it most certainly is an acquired taste that comes with lots of practice before you get good at it. That’s not to worry, but if it’s your first time, I would probably recommend starting out with a smaller vessel.

I would imagine that as you work your way toward massive ships the size of the one that you see in the rendering below, docking would get even more and more difficult, requiring a small crew to make sure that everything goes smoothly and keep an eye on all of the aspects of the park job. However, with an autonomous system like this, none of the above would even be necessary.

While measuring all sorts of criteria like wind speed, current, draft, and even using an onboard radar to see exactly where the dock sits, the system will allow the ship not only to maneuver itself into the slip but to also hook up flawlessly, making the entire thing one smooth in-and-out.
