Someone Painted a Ferrari F40 Green and it’s Not Even April Fools Day Yet.
If you think of the most iconic cars to ever have rolled around on this lush green Earth of ours, you have to have the Ferrari F40 somewhere on that list. Even if it’s not one of your favorite cars, this limited production Ferrari that they only made less than 1400 of is one that pretty much anybody who knows what they’re talking about is going to have toward the top of a short list of cars that have really made an impact on automotive culture. As the icon rolls on, many have chosen to preserve the incredibly expensive Ferrari and keep it in its original red color, the only color that it was produced in. If you find someone who claims to have an originally painted F40 in anything other than that screaming red, well, they’re quite simply not telling the truth.
This time, we check out one of the few F40 machines and this one is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. It might be the only one to ever be painted in green. On any other car, that might not seem like that big of deal but given that this is arguably the most iconic Ferrari to ever be produced, it’s really quite a shocker. You kind of just approach the car in this frame of mind where you really do expect it to be clad in that bright shiny racecar red that you’re so used to. Given that these things bring in quite the hefty price tag over $1 million with their original color, you wouldn’t even think that if someone were to restore a car like this that it wouldn’t really have much of any reason to “go green.”
If you follow along with the video below, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with this car, going inside and out to discover exactly what an oh so familiar face looks like after a little bit of makeup is applied. After you get the whole picture of this F40, be sure to tell us what you think about how this screaming red machine has been dressed up in an entirely different color.
