Someone Turned JB Weld into a Piston and It Surprisingly Works!
If you’re in the garage and happen to find yourself in a pinch, JB Weld seems to be something that can most certainly knock out some minor projects. However, I can’t say that I would use it on anything too major as it’s meant to be nothing more than a temporary fix or something to hold together lightweight applications. When this guy decided that he wanted to do a little bit of experimenting in the garage, he took some of the JB Weld of his very own and decided to stretch it just a little bit further than the norm to see exactly what would happen. You need to see this to believe it!
Instead of just bonding together some small pieces, this time, we check out what happens when this curious gear head tried to make an entire piston out of JB Weld. Naturally, this seems like an equation that is doomed from start but when it gets Fired up and put to the test, it surprisingly ends up being a lot more durable than we had ever expected it to be (I thought it was going to fail within seconds).
I’m not sure how he came up with this idea but the results are incredibly interesting to watch. Heck, even seeing the piston itself is a treat. I’m sure that people have thought of things like this before, wondering just how far think take their favorite weld in a tube but I bet they didn’t think that anyone would ACTUALLY try it!
How far will it go in practice? I guess you’re going to have to tune into the video below to see exactly that. I’m not sure that I would recommend doing this for any sort of longevity purposes but watching it unfold on someone else’s time and dime is a lot of fun to watch. This leads us to ask the question: What other fun experiments do you think that you could take on with nothing more than a tube of JB Weld?
