Spy Shots Indicate Chevrolet Has Been Secretly Testing C8 Z06 at the Track

As car enthusiasts, I guess that you could say that it’s hard to keep us satisfied. Sure, maybe we’re happy with the offerings that are available to us now. However, for many of us, there’s that voice deep down inside that wants to know what’s coming next. Even if the available model is incredibly awesome, we can’t help but get excited about what the automotive community has in store for us.

In the Chevrolet performance community, this concept is especially true for the latest and greatest Chevrolet Corvette. For the 2020 model year, Chevrolet would shock the world by finally doing something that had been talked about for decades. As history would write itself, Chevrolet ended up bringing the mid-engine layout to the world of the Corvette.

With that, the community has been excited to really dip their toes in and see what the C8 has to offer. However, the page is getting ready to turn once again as Chevrolet will soon be unveiling some higher trim levels as well. Historically, the Corvette is a model that would come out with a base model in the first year. In the following years, different performance variations would be trickled out until eventually getting to the top tier in the Corvette ZR1.

This is what the community is expecting with the C8 even though we’re not exactly sure if the ZR1 is going to remain at the top-tier trim level. There are rumors that a “Zora” model will tower overall with a hybrid powertrain. However, for now, our eyes are focused on what we believe to be the Z06 model.
