Squarebody To The Rescue! 4×4 Square Body Rescues Fed-Ex Truck Stuck In The Snow
Much of the nation is experiencing an arctic blast right now, with a great deal of snow on the ground from coast to coast – but none here in Alabama, despite many predictions of accumulation up to 4”, not that I’m salty about it AT ALL, METEOROLOGIST BRAD TRAVIS! – reminding us all that it’s still very much winter.
Of course, this means there have been countless cars, trucks, and big trucks finding themselves stuck due to the frozen white stuff, and plenty of opportunities for heroes to come to their rescue. This particular video is one of the better ones that we’ve come across for a couple of reasons, so we wanted to share it with you guys.
What we have here is a FedEx delivery truck that’s managed to insert himself squarely in a bunch of stuck. The snow is deep and I’m going to assume he wasn’t expecting this much accumulation, leading to him either just losing sight of the edge of the road and driving off the side, or perhaps he slid off due to the slippery conditions. Either way, he needs rescuing.
Rescue comes in the form one of the current trends in the truck world, a square body Chevy. These trucks, built from the mid 70’s through most of the 80’s, have found themselves in the middle of a resurgence in popularity, thanks to their timeless styling and rugged durability. Plus there were quite literally hundreds of thousands of these trucks sold, so there are still plenty of good specimens out there to be found.
This particular truck is of the heavier-duty variety, and is almost definitely packing big block power and torque, which explains why, despite several inches of snow to deal with, it is able to drag the heavy FexEx truck out of its predicament quiet easily. These trucks were built to be tough, and you can tell this one passed this particular test with ease!
