Steampunk Inspired Remote Control Charger With Insane Detail

a style of design and fashion that combines historical elements with anachronistic technological features inspired by science fiction.”the essence of steampunk is homage to vintage fashion with a modern, sassy twist”

I know there was a time, not too long ago, when I wasn’t really sure what Steampunk meant, so for those of you out there who have seen the term but maybe didn’t know exactly what it entailed, now you know.

For a great visual explanation, check out this ridiculously detailed radio controlled Dodge Charger that was built with an undeniable Steampunk motif. The car has some insanely cool features that you won’t find on any other RC car, at least none that I’ve ever seen.

The Charger was built by professional RC car customizer Danny Huynh and will be given away to a lucky winner, so Danny went the extra mile to make sure the winner would get a truly cool prize. I’m not sure what chassis the car was built on, it appears to be a Traxxas setup, but the exact model isn’t disclosed in the description.

What I can tell you is that from the nose to the tail, this thing is a work of art. The details in the paint are over-the-top, especially considering the small scale of the body, which is just over a foot long. Danny is known for his gorgeous paint work and this piece is a testament to that reputation.

Inside, the Terminator-inspired driver has been rigged in such a way that his head turns to the direction the wheels are turned and when the driver pulls the throttle trigger, Little Termie pulls on a lever inside the cockpit and a custom accessory emits a screaming V8 engine sound, which really adds some live to the build.

Check this thing out as the camera gets nice and close to really show off the awesome custom touches.
