Stevie “Fast” Jackson reveals The Shadow 2.0 built by RJ Race Cars
We recently shared the journey through the final days of Stevie Fast’s beloved Mustang grudge car, the Shadow. As most of you know, Fast crashed the car in spectacular fashion when the car took flight alongside Dewayne Mills at No Mercy 7 back in September.
Stevie was shaken up but unhurt, and he and his crew immediately began planning for the return of the Shadow. After searching high and low, Stevie found a car that was already under construction at Rick Jones Race Cars and took over the project after buy it from Richard Freeman of Elite Motorsports. They have already dropped the big blown Hemi between the framerails and are custom-tailoring the car to fit Jackson and the new powerplant for radial duty.
The car, a Chevy Camaro, should be lighter and sleeker than the aging fox body platform and will hopefully harness the power better and propel Stevie to even quicker ET’s. The team is hoping to have the car finished and ready to run at Lights Out 8 in February.
