Storm ridden and flooded cars sold like new to buyers who have no clue
As if there weren’t already enough to worry about when buying a car, we bring you some more information that might just cause a little bit of a stir.
When cars are hit by flood conditions, as you probably imagine, the water can do quite a bit of damage, more damage than a roadworthy car should go through before being put back out on the road.
While most of these flood cars should find their way straight to a salvage yard, some of them get a quick and inadequate fix before heading back to the sale lot.
Unfortunately, many times, there is absolutely no way for a potential buyer to be certain about what a car has been through. Even with extensive research, it can sometimes be hard to tell what a car has been through.
Check out the video below that describes how folks are getting duped into getting themselves into deep water and how you might be able to protect yourself.
