Street Outlaws Big Chief and Murder Nova Drag Racing at Outlaw Armageddon 3.0
Footage is still rolling in from last month’s Outlaw Armageddon, one of the biggest no prep shootouts of the year. Held annually in August at Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, Oklahoma, Outlaw Armageddon is the one no prep event guaranteed to bring out most, if not all of the Street Outlaws stars, each of them looking to etch their name in history and take home the huge winner’s payday.
Two names that you hardly see hitting the no prep scene were among the most popular cars on the property. Of course, I’m talking about Justin Shearer, or as most of us know him, Big Chief and his best friend, partner in crime and Street Outlaws co-star Shawn Ellington in the Murder Nova. These guys may not throw down on the no prep scene that often, electing instead to stick to the streets that made them who they are, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get down when they do show up at the track. In fact, with Thunder Valley being the track you often see the cars testing at on the show, these two probably have as much time on the track as anybody else on the property, and in the world of no prep, data like that is invaluable.
Just sit back and hit the play button and watch fourteen minutes of Big Chief and Murder Nova throwing down against some of the biggest names in the no prep scene. Big Chief lines up with the Plan B Corvette of Mike Henson and then takes on Doc, taking wins over both fellow Street Outlaws stars. Shawn has a much tougher draw, taking on a couple of blown pro mod style cars. He hits some water that’s seeped up through the track in the first race, earning him a pass to the second round, where he crosses the centerline against the other blown hotrod.
While neither of them took home the money, It’s always fun to watch these guys in action on the track and on the streets. We are definitely ready for some more Street Outlaws on our Monday nights!
