Street Outlaws Chuck Discusses How “Pimp Juice” Actually Works
To the untrained eye, street racing might look a lot like racing on the track, obviously, with the setting being a little bit different. However, for anyone who has ever raced in both respective settings, they will tell you that racing on the street and racing on the track are two very different animals, indeed. While the track does tend to be just a little bit more forgiving, the street is seen as the great equalizer, really putting cars and drivers to the test to see which is the best at gaining a little bit of traction and rocketing down the road.
Now, when it comes racing on the street, you aren’t always alone. You don’t always have to go into the matchup with nothing between your tire and the street as racing on the bare surface could be enough to throw any car out of the groove and on a sideways ride. This is where compounds like Pimp Juice comes into play. Basically, the compound is laid down and the driver in question will do a burnout in it. From there, it’s game over, throwing down a nice little sticky layer for the car to launch in, providing traction were previously there would be close to none.
Follow along in the video down below as Street Outlaws Chuck talks a little bit about how Pimp Juice works and how it can help your car go from a wandering spin fest at the starting line to the rocket ship with great traction that it really wants to be. After watching this one, you may just get a better understanding for why they’re spilling out all of that liquid at the beginning of a race and doing a burnout in it. Without this stuff, you could bet your bottom dollar that a lot of these cars would be all over the place!
