The Supercharged 2020 Silverado Known as “Goliath 800” is an ABSOLUTE MONSTER, Dyno + Test Drive
I might be a little bit biased but if there’s one thing that I can’t turn away from, it’s a tough performance pickup truck. As it turns out, the folks over at Hennessey Performance have plenty to go around. One of their most recent additions to the fleet is a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado known as “Goliath 800.”
As the name infers, the truck is capable of just over 800 hp at the crank. This power comes thanks to a 416 cubic inch stroker motor that’s paired with a high-flow 2.9L supercharger system. Once the power makes its way through the upgraded 10-speed automatic transmission, the truck is set to roll!
Last but not least, Goliath 800 is able to boast the title of “World’s most powerful 2020 Silverado.”
When push comes to shove, that means that right around 630 hp makes it to the tires. Once that power is truly unleashed, the Silverado screams like it’s ready to rumble when the throttle hits the floor.
Buyers also have the option of upgrading the suspension for off-road capabilities. The upgrade includes a lift kit and a different wheel/tire combo among other mods.
Furthermore, those who are really feeling froggy can access modifications like an upgraded Brembo brake kit, stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, and electronic bed cover and fold-out steps. There are a ton of different choices here to really outfit this powerhouse the exact way that the customer wants.
In the video below, we watch as the Brembo brakes are bedded and set up for use. This requires a variety of different speed accelerations and braking. You know what that means! It’s time to head out there and really lay into the throttle. The sights and sounds are really out of this world and something that makes us have the urge to hop behind the wheel and rip on the monster of a truck!
