Suzuki GSX-R 1000 with methanol vs Bugatti Veyron 16.4 “Dutchbugs”

While Bugatti has lost the title of world’s fastest production car – though many certainly debate the reigning king’s viability as a production car – it is still an insanely fast car that offers up chest-compressing acceleration in an uber-luxurious package.

Just how fast is it, you ask? It’s fast enough to line up with what would seemingly be a good race for any car, a Suzuki GSX-R1000 with a methanol-injection setup. This bike would walk pretty much any car it would ever encounter on the road, but how does it stack up against one of the fastest vehicles on the planet?

Well… not let’s just say it’s not pretty. The first race, from a 50mph roll, is over before it really ever starts. When the Bugatti’s driver drops the hammer, it looks like the bike tossed out an anchor, dropping immediately out of sight as the Veyron rumbles down the strip like a rocket. The pair line up and run again, as the bike’s rider said it was losing traction, this time from a 100 MPH roll. However, the outcome is basically the same. The Gixxer does manage to stay within sight this time, at least for a few seconds, before being relegated to the mirror as the Bugatti again blasts through the race course, taking the win by a train length.
