Swaying this Far Can’t be Normal – Oversized Load gets Sketchy
When it comes to hauling a load, things aren’t always as simple as they seem. You don’t simply slap something on the trailer, tie it down, and hope that it doesn’t end up on the highway. For those who have done it a couple of times, they will tell you that you need to make sure that your load is secured properly and distributed in just the right way so that it doesn’t cause you issues down the line. Failing to do so could mean big-time damage to not only your equipment but also to other motorists on the road and you really don’t want to get tangled up in an insurance situation like that.
In this one, it’s not clear if this oversized load is designed to act this way as it sways around on the trailer, but from the view of a nearby dashcam that we were able to check out, it really looks like something that should be addressed here. As the tractor trailer barrels down the highway with a piece of heavy construction equipment on the back, that thing is blowing around in the breeze like a flag as it tips back and forth, almost threatening to push the truck over. Having that thing top over in traffic like that would mean a big time clean up and probably thousands of dollars in damage. Long story short, it’s probably something that they’re going to want to pull over and check out.
Follow along with the candid video captured of the situation that has this massive load being pushed to the edge. Be sure to tell us what you think of this heavy load that looks like it’s about to be in a “gone wrong” video. Do you think that this guy should reevaluate his method of securing the massive machine?
