Ten Minutes Plus Of Epic Diesel Action

Y’all know we love some diesel action here at Speed Society, but most of what we see and share from that world is either dyno or drag racing footage. Obviously, if you get down to it, that’s like buying a big expensive surround sound system to listen to AM talk radio, you’re just not getting the full experience.

Most diesels are bought for work purposes, and this video is a full and a half minutes of just that, diesel truck putting in work! Okay, there’s may be a little “play” in here too, but even this type of playing would be a lot to handle for many gas-burning pickups. I’ve picked out a few of my favorite moments, but I want to hear what you guys think is the coolest moment, so hit us up in the comments on Facebook and tell us what jumped out at you.

I personally liked the pickups pulling trees clips, as it really helps put into perspective just how powerful a diesel really is. Pardon the unavoidable pun, but no matter which way you cut it, trees are freakin’ heavy. But these trucks yank them around seemingly with little effort, proving that you just can’t beat the torque of a diesel for grunt work.

There’s a clip that really got our attention toward the end when two big pickups line up for some side-by-side drag racing. The catch is, of course, that the trucks are racing through the dirt and mud, which makes for a much more fun race to watch than seeing them line up on asphalt. That clip proves that sometimes all you need is a couple of buddies and a little land to have all the fun you could want.

Finally, the closing clip is probably my favorite. Having grown up around the trucking industry, seeing this convoy of badass show-quality rigs headed down the highway is just plain cool. These trucks are clearly rolling canvases for their owners and they’ve spared no expense in making their rigs works of art. There’s no way you do’\n’t look at these and think “Woah, that’s a badass rig!”
