Testing the strength of a bottle jack with a 100-ton hydraulic press

With the likes of a hydraulic press, we are now able to check out the heavy duty testing of all kinds of objects and materials that honestly, we never even thought about testing out in the first place, most of the time.

This time, however, we come across an incredibly useful and interesting demonstration that puts a small bottle jack to the test to see what it’s capable of.

We watch as the jack that is probably rated at a couple of tons is put up to the test of 100-tons of pressure thanks to a hydraulic press.

Check out the video below that shows the press in action, putting this jack through more pressure than the manufacturers ever thought possible.

Afterwards, the guys put a piece of the blast shield to the test that is normally used to protect them from shrapnel as it becomes the shrapnel itself!
