That Takes Skills – CH-53E Super Stallion Perform Air Refueling While Carrying A Humvee

When air travel is the topic of discussion, it really seems like these guys have their processes down pat. This time, we get a chance to take a look at a refueling mission but this sequence of events has a little bit of a twist that might send your mind for a loop.

In this one, we check out the KC-130J Hercules, an aircraft assigned to do an aerial refueling for a CH-53E Super Stallion Marine Helicopter. If you couldn’t tell by the video, this helicopter is a complete animal as it has the power to lift an entire Humvee while being refueled.

Check out the action-packed sequence below as the helicopter comes in for fuel and the pilot uses his precision skills to line everything up perfectly so that he can gas up and go. Doing something like this while carrying such a heavy load underneath of the helicopter has to be a test that requires tons of focus and plenty of practice to get just right.
