The All new Cobra Jet is a Drag Racing Dream

When it’s the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet that we’re talking about, it doesn’t get much more aggressive off the assembly line than the factory built race car. No matter what brand you stand by, you simply have to respect these purpose built machines that come straight out-of-the-box and are ready to race.

This time, we check it out one of the 50-car-per-year release candidates that’s nothing short of amazing to see in action when it gets down to doing the duty that it was designed to do. This monster is a champion out there on the strip, squatting down hard and ripping down the track to some impressive passes.

Drop in on a couple of shakedown passes that show the car nearly hitting 150 mph in a quarter mile here while bashing its way into the nines, seemingly with ease. This machine just makes everything looks so effortless in its motions down the track.
