The Dirt Drag Racers Do NOT Mess Around!
While we have an affinity for all things automotive, it’s no secret that we have a soft spot for straight line acceleration. Drag racing, at least in my personal opinion is the purest form of motorsports, relying on nothing but brute horsepower and traction to settle the most important of questions: who has the faster ride.
While the vast majority of drag races take place on paved surfaces, there’s plenty of other places to settle a score, from sand to snow and even on the water. However, some of the most awesome footage we have seen comes from guys like YouTuber MyYota85, who captures these badass four wheel drive trucks throwing down in the mud! These guys are quite literally fearless, as you will see in the video below featuring a few mud drag trucks throwing down some insane passes.
These trucks are all powered by big-inch nitrous powerplants just like what you might find stuffed in a pro mod at your local track on any given weekend. With what I would have to estimated at 3,000 horsepower or so on tap, these things are not to be taken lightly. Due to the unpredictable nature of the mud track, they don’t race side by side, which is definitely understandable, but instead race against the clock to see who can cover the track in the quickest possible time.
The Never Satisfied truck looks to be the man to beat, and a lot of that is likely thanks to his willingness to just send it, despite the truck making a hard move to the left. He keeps his foot planted, sending the truck on a wild ride in the shutdown that causes the driver to tweak his wrist and his steering column to take quite a beating.
However, the effort proves to be worth it, as he lays down a stellar time, but would it be enough to take the win on this day? You’ll have to watch the video and see who puts up the quickest time and goes home with the bragging rights!
