The Final Days Of Stevie Fast’s “Shadow” Part 6
Continuing with RAW3 TV’s series “The Final Days of The Shadow” following Stevie Fast’s final race in the legendary Ford Mustang, we move from qualifying into eliminations, where tensions are off the charts following a string of bad runs. The final qualifying run, often used as a barometer to see what the track will hold for round one, ends in tiresmoke and frustration, adding to the nerves as the team prepares for the opening round of No Mercy 7.
Jackson, who has been behind the wheel of some of the quickest doorslammers on the planet for many years now, admits that even after several thousand passes, gearing up for first round is always nerve-wracking. The team heads to staging with a nervous energy that you can feel through the screen, and their opponent is no pushover, which only serves to add to the tension. However, things go well as the Shadow faces off with the twin-turbo Camaro of Roger Holder and lays down a solid 3.90 to take the win, sending the Killin Time Racing team into round #2.
Check back here tomorrow as we will wrap the 8-part series with the final two installments. If you follow the drag radial world at all, you know how this story ends, but this inside look at things is sure to provide some new insight into the ride awaiting Jackson.
