The GENERAL LEE Would be So Proud – 2,300hp Twin Turbo Viper!

We doubt you’ll ever see this General Lee soaring across any creeks or slinging dust and rocks on the backroads of the Deep South, but Calvo Motorsports Viper certainly looks the part of the fabled Charger driven by the Duke cousins. With 2,300 horsepower on tap, we’d have to imagine this modern take on the General would smoke just about anything Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane could use for pursuit, even with air support from the choppers.

The car has been tickling the 200 MPH mark through the half mile on race gas, but this time Antonio and the Calvo crew decided to give the Pump Gas class a try. With a few hundred pounds of ice on hand for the intercooler, the team managed to take the win, clicking off runs at or just over the 190 MPH mark pass after pass.

All in all, it was a great day for Austin, Texas based Calvo team, who was more than pleased with the performance of their Viper on pump gas.
